- 🥔 Goddess & the Grocer has takeout packages of potato latkes, braised short ribs, noodle kugel, and rugelach at its Bucktown, Fulton Market, River North, and Gold Coast locations.
- 🥪 Manny’s Deli in South Loop is selling brisket and chicken dinners as well as mini latkes.
- 🍽️ Split-Rail in Ukrainian Village is hosting family-style dinners featuring matzo ball soup and brisket before it closes this month.
- 🥐 Masa Madre in West Town is hosting cooking classes to make challah, wreaths, and more over the next few weeks.

Christmas, Dec. 24–25
- 🍗 BJ’s Market in South Deering is selling smoked turkey and ham with sweet potatoes, cornbread dressing, gravy, peach cobbler, and more. Order by Dec. 20.
- 🍽️ Aboyer is a French restaurant in Winnetka serving Christmas Eve dinners of wagyu short ribs, boursin chicken, and more.
- 🐟 Segnatore in Humboldt Park is hosting a Feast of the Seven Fishes meal on Christmas Eve. The Italian American feast will serve multiple courses of seafood — including calamari and lobster ravioli.
- 🥡 MingHin Cuisine has locations in Chinatown, South Loop, Streeterville, and Lakeshore East. The mini chain serves dim sum, crab rangoon, and more deliciousness 365 days a year.
- 🦉 The Owl in Logan Square is open for late-night drinks on Christmas Day. Sip on $5 beers until 4 a.m.!

Kwanzaa, Dec. 26–Jan. 1
- 🥬 The Hungry Hutch’s braised pork neck and cabbage is a recipe South Side native and food blogger Aaron Hutcherson says embodies the Kwanzaa principle Ujima, collective work and responsibility.
- 🍠 Sweet potato cookies are a great treat to bring to Karamu, the final feast of Kwanzaa, according to Chicago baker Alicia Andry.
