- Carniceria Maribel in Pilsen does a steak taco justice between the seasoning and char. Wash it down with an adult beverage from the market.
- La Internacional Supermercado y Taqueria in Back of the Yards is generous with extra meat.
- La Casa Del Pueblo Taqueria in Pilsen is a cafeteria-style spot to grab a breakfast taco and to sip on coffee with neighbors.

- Asian Cuisine Express in Little Village sells $1 tacos on Mondays, and yes, it might be the best al pastor, fish, and shrimp tacos you’ve ever had.
- 5 Rabanitos in Pilsen does veggie tacos proud with peppers, onions, potato, and mushroom!
- Birrieria Zaragoza in Archer Heights has excellent customer service.
- Atotonilco in Back of the Yards is the place to go for a hefty taco.

- Huaraches Doña Chio in Edgewater has great homemade corn tortillas that are twice the size of some other tacos.
- Taqueria el Asadero in Lincoln Square is a solid lunch spot for a classic al pastor taco and horchata that slaps.
