- 🍀 Don’t let the Northwest Side Irish Parade get lost in the shuffle — venture to Norwood Park March 17.
Bask in the Sun
- ☀️ Daylight saving time is back: We are springing forward an hour THIS weekend. That means the sun will set closer to 7 p.m.
- 🎶 Ariana Grande’s “Eternal Sunshine” comes out Friday. Dance to other Ari songs at Sidetrack in Northalsted Wednesday to prepare.
- 📸 During the spring equinox March 19, capture Chicagohenge, when the sun aligns perfectly with the city’s east-west streets.

- 🗳️ With just over two weeks until Election Day, early voting begins in all 50 wards and throughout Cook County today. You can also continue to vote at the downtown supersites.
- 📬 March 14 marks the last day you can apply to vote by mail.

- 🎁 Sing happy birthday to our city at “The City’s Geographic Center” this evening in McKinley Park. Say hi to City Cast Chicago producer Michelle Navarro who will be asking people about their favorite birthday festivities.
- 🇵🇱 Pulaski Day is also today! Many Chicago institutions used to close on this holiday celebrating the Polish soldier. Some still do — including City Hall!
- ☎️ Ring in 312 Day, a nod to one of the city’s area codes, with a music tribute March 12 on the Near West Side.

Keep Kids Busy During CPS’ Spring Break
- 🛝 Not sure what to do with your CPS students March 25–29? Chicago Park District is running camps from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
