Terrible Air Quality, More Highway Expansions, and Holiday Cookouts
Earlier this week, Chicago had some of the worst air quality in the world due to wildfire smoke from Canada. Officials have recommended masking and limiting outdoor exposure. But should Chicagoans be prepared for smoke to happen more often as the impacts of climate change hit closer and closer to home? Host Jacoby Cochran sits down with environment reporter Brett Chase with the Chicago Sun-Times and Manny Ramos with the Illinois Answers Project. The group also discuss a worrisome highway expansion project, NASCAR in the streets, and efforts to secure housing protections in South Shore.
