We’re headed to Evergreen Park for our next neighborhood guide.
Bordered by Chicago on three sides, part of the southwest suburb was built in the late 19th century to resemble the Arc de Triomphe area of Paris. The village was named after the evergreen trees planted there. With visitors going to nearby cemeteries, restaurants, taverns, and other businesses began popping up. The area is largely residential today.
One of those residents is Christopher Chaney, a baker who moved to Evergreen Park after growing up in Wrightwood. He shares his recs.
